A 1924-built home in San Francisco’s historic Pacific Heights neighborhood has come on the market with interior design by was Elsie de Wolfe. Elsie was the most sought-after interior designer of her time, the mother of modern American interiors, replacing dark ornate Victorian decor with lighter, simpler styles and uncluttered layouts. She called herself a “rebel in an ugly world” and had clients such as the Duke and Duchess of Windsor. The home is listed with Max Armour from Compass.
