Florida Town’s Population Increases Over 250%

The number of retirees in the United States is rapidly increasing, and many of them are relocating to Florida. In fact, Florida is home to 11 of the 30 fastest-growing retirement communities in the country. The population of Wildwood, Florida has had an astounding 256 percent increase in its retiree population over the last five years—16 percent in the last year alone. Wildwood is located just a few miles from The Villages, which has been repeatedly ranked by the U.S. Census Bureau as one of the fastest-growing metropolitan areas in the country.
