Co-founder of the Southern California Institute of Architecture, Ray Kappe designed over 100 custom homes in his 70-year career. Most of his work was done in Southern California, including a housing complex in Rancho Palos Verdes that received an American Institute of Architects award in 1966. The multilevel residence showcases the Kappe style, including soaring vaulted ceilings, abundant natural light, and well-defined yet open living spaces.
