America’s Best Small Towns
Just like John Mellencamp’s hit song “Small Town,” where he grew up and lives, Indiana is a state with some of the best small towns in America. In order to rate the country’s best small towns WalletHub, compared more than 1,300 US cities with populations between 25,000 and 100,000 based on 45 key indicators of livability, including cost-of-living, schools, health, and safety. According to their findings, the best small town in America is Carmel, Indiana, located just north of Indianapolis. Fishers, Indiana and Westfield, Indiana, two towns also near Indianapolis, are also ranked in the top ten.
