Google Guru Grabs Giant Mansion
Former Google CEO Eric Schmidt has purchased the longtime Beverly Hills 56,000-square-foot mansion of TV producer Aaron Spelling. Located on five prime acres in the exclusive Holmby Hills neighborhood, Schmidt paid $110 million for the 14-bedroom home, a steep discount from the original $165 million asking price. The current owner of the 123-room home is unknown, but is listed as “594 Mapleton.” Spelling produced some of TV’s biggest hits, such as Beverly Hills 90210, Charlie’s Angels and Dynasty. He died in 2006.
