Home Mortgage Biz Suffers More Setbacks

The US home mortgage business hit another roadblock this week as interest rates have increased to new recent highs, mortgage applications falling 10.9%, and refinance applications down by 19%. Experts are blaming the Iran turmoil and oil prices for driving inflation worries and higher mortgage rates.
